The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall

The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall

The most famous musical ever, The Phantom of the Opera has a great story and music. From London's Royal Albert Hall in 2011, the 25th Anniversary has a great cast and performances. The show has a large orchestra which is behind and above the stage. The stage is also used for the sets. The costumes for all the characters are extremely well done and very colorful. The Phantom of the Opera is set in 1911 in Paris, France, with the time then rolling back to 1881. The main characters are the mysterious Phantom of the Opera and his love for singer Christine DaaƩ. Raoul is also in love with Christine and attempts to capture the Phantom. Some of my favorite songs are "Overture", "Angel of Music", "The Phantom of the Opera", "The Music of the Night", and "Why Have You Brought Me Here?/Raoul, I've Been There". The original 1986 cast is also here, including Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford. They are brought on stage after the show ends and perform many songs with the current cast. This 25th Anniversary performance of this musical is a must see.
